Patty Hightower Seeks Reelection to Escambia County School Board

I have pre-filed to run for reelection as Escambia County School Board Member from District 4. I have served for two terms as a school board member, and I am seeking a third term in 2012. Escambia County Schools have shown tremendous improvement in the past few years. While the credit goes to our great teachers, I hope I have contributed as a school board member to higher standards and higher goals during my time on the board. Experience counts in education – not only in the classroom but also on the school board. We have a school board and superintendent that work well together as a team. I believe during my next term I can continue to contribute my time and effort toward the goal of insuring our schools provide the best possible learning opportunities for our children.

The School Board election for District 4 will be August 14, 2012. This will most likely be the election that determines your school board member. This election will not be on the November ballot unless in the August 14th election no candidate receives more than 50% of the votes cast.
